GDPR VS DPDI

DPDI, the UK’s new data protection bill, is designed to simplify compliance and support the responsible use of personal information for UK businesses and non-profits.

Expected to reach implementation in 2024, the bill is similar to the EU GDPR in many ways, while adding more clarity and specificity. As a result, it opens up new opportunities and provides legal certainty for UK organisations in areas like direct marketing. DPDI will also strive to remove unnecessary bureaucracy, saving the UK economy an estimated £10.6 billion over the next ten years according to the House of Commons.
